| Last week, the leaders in the European Council finally took the long-awaited first step towards recovery for the Eurozone. They acknowledged on Friday the glaring need for investments, both public and private, and recognized the value of fiscal responsibility through new forms of tax revenue. Although this may seem obvious, we should have in mind that the Conservative leaders did not take these decisions willingly and they did not take them enthusiastically. |

| Two weeks ago emails were sent to all activists on the PES database and since then over 300 of you have already registered for this years PES activists Forum in Bucharest on the 26th and 27th of September as well as the PES Congress on the 28th and 29th of September. While this means we won’t be able to provide accommodation for everyone, if you still want to come you have time register online. |
