Fighting inequalities and ensuring an inclusive and sustainable recovery is the focus as top progressive voices join forces for the online conference ‘Recovering Europe: Mind the Social Gaps’, the 10th edition of Call to Europe organised by the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS).
PES President Sergei Stanishev will join European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms Elisa Ferreira, S&D President Iratxe García Pérez, former EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, Spanish Europe Minister Arancha González, Belgian Minister for Economy and Labour Pierre Yves Dermagne, Portuguese Secretary of State for EU Affairs Ana Paula Zacarias, UK Labour Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Ed Miliband, and many others for the event.
The full programme is available on the Call to Europe website.
The PES is proud to be one of the partners for the event, which will take place between Tuesday 25 May and Thursday 27 May.
This year's Call to Europe will be a three-day highly interactive virtual festival, which will include cultural activities, online competitions, and storytelling by progressive changemakers.
2021 marks the 10th anniversary of the conference. Over the past ten years, Call to Europe has evolved into a key progressive platform where experts, civil society representatives and policymakers jointly contribute to the melting pot of progressive ideas.
