PES Women pledge card calls on continues engagement of all governments on
– equal pay between women and men (#paymelikeaman)
– access to sexual and reproductive rights for all women across Europe and the world (#mybodymyrights)
– zero tolerance of any violence against any women (#stopviolenceagainstwomen).
Especially in times of multiple crisis and a backlash on women’s rights around the world, the basic values and rights must not be pushed aside. No excuse can be used to water down ambition. No excuse can be used to justify the violation of women’s rights and protection, be it for European Women, women around the world or women arriving to Europe. We therefore welcome the engagement by the Dutch presidency on gender equality, women’s rights and especially the Fight for Equal Pay.
