Democracy & Human Rights

Strengthening and protecting European democracy is a key priority. As authoritarianism, disinformation, Big Tech and AI challenge our democratic societies, we stand up for fundamental rights, digital rights, accountability and meaningful participation, while working for a fair and effective European migration and asylum system based on solidarity and responsibility.

Enhancing and protecting European democracy is one of our main priorities. Rising authoritarianism, global instability, the growing power of Big Tech, the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) as well as the weaponised narratives against workers, climate action, minorities and migration are testing the foundations of our democratic societies. True democracy can only flourish in an equal society.

As a new reactionary international force re-emerges, we want to engage the public and policymakers around five main pillars: fundamental rights, digital rights, accountability, meaningful participation and building a fair and effective European asylum and migration system grounded in solidarity and responsibility.
