He was keynote speaker at the Rainbow Rose General assembly last November. Rainbow Rose President Aurelien Mazuy added: “Pedro was a friend and a comrade, but above all a man who stood for our common values: he fought for equality throughout his life and helped Spain to become a model in Europe when marriage and adoption was opened to same-sex couples 10 years ago. He inspired us at the Rainbow Rose General Assembly in Madrid: we will strive to uphold his legacy as an activist and politician and continue to work for equality all across Europe.”
We express our deepest sympathies with his husband Jesús, his relatives and friends and with his many friends in PSOE who will deeply miss him.
