Workers’ rights and the fight against all poverty are the core values of the European socialist and social democratic political family. We commend the Spanish government’s commitment to raising the minimum wage to reach 60% of Spain’s current average salary following the European Social Charter.
As a political family we need to continue supporting low wage earners and a social market economy, especially in the context of this crisis. Since 2019, when PSOE became leaders of the Spanish Government, Spain’s minimum wages have risen an unprecedented 31.8%.
