During the last five years, the progressive government led by Georgian Dream party proved the country’s strong commitment to democracy and civil rights. The PES recognises and supports the progress Georgia has made over the last few years. The election of Salome Zourabishvili will further solidify Georgia’s positions as a role model in the region and strengthen its place in the European family of nations.
