A full day of the program yesterday was dedicated to the future of youth in Europe in a series of workshops organised by PES. Debates about the threat of populism and about the ownership of the European project by the younger generation as well as the benefits of the European Youth Plan were among the topics discussed.
The summer camp of the IUSY has gathered more than 1,000 young socialists from all across Europe in the coastal town, as well as participants from the Young European Socialists (YES), representatives of PES and a delegation PES Women led by its president Zita Gurmai.
The PES workshops aim at engaging the grassroots movements further in political activism and help them campaign in different elections.
