The Party of European Socialists (PES) will gather its members on 25-26 June to set out their ambitions to lead bold social change, building a solid foundation for a recovery from the coronavirus pandemic. On the agenda, a Europe that invests in its future, strengthens respect, and acts together.

German Vice Chancellor Olaf Scholz will be joined by Prime Minister of Portugal António Costa, Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven, PES President Sergei Stanishev, S&D President Iratxe Garcia, EU Commission Executive Vice-President Frans Timmermans, SPD co-leader Norbert Walter-Borjans and many other high-level speakers for the event.
A hybrid conference – With Courage. For Europe. – will livestreamed from Berlin on 26 June from 9:30CET. The conference will be livestreamed in English, German, French, and Spanish. It will be available to view on the event website – www.events.pes.eu/ – as well as YouTube and Facebook.
The day before (25 June), the PES will host a meeting of leaders of its member parties. A series of fringe events will also take place. The Progressive Alliance will host the session “Welfare and Democracy”. PES Women and Arbeitsgemeinschaft Sozialdemokratischer Frauen (ASF) will hold a “#Make her count for Democracy” event. And the S&D Group in the European Parliament, PES Group in the Committee of the Regions, and the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) will host “For a Child Union: a community that cares”.
