PES Deputy Secretary General Giacomo Filibeck said: “We have discussed this yesterday with the Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, the Palestinian Authority and Fatah representatives, and today in the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the Knesset with Labour Party Secretary General Hilik Bar and the representative of Meretz. We have enjoyed enriching debates promoting peace and dialogue within the framework of the ongoing discussions on the recognition of the Palestinian State in various Parliaments in Europe and the upcoming Israeli elections. The EU High Representative Federica Mogherini needs our support in shaping a European effective policy for a comprehensive settlement here and in the whole region”.
