PES Deputy-Secretary General Yonnec Polet said: “The Labor party has a strong socioeconomic profile and it wants to be a constructive partner in the peace negotiations with Palestine. With many conflicts raging in the region, we all have an interest in a more stable Middle East. We hope voters will recognise that security and peace go hand in hand”.
“We also want to express support for our partners from Meretz, who have always been very dedicated in their quest to lift the occupation and establish two viable states”, Yonnec Polet continued.
During his visit, Hilik Bar also met up with PES President Sergei Stanishev and EU High Representative Federica Mogherini.
