The election of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has filled the CHP with renewed enthusiasm and has set forth the beginning of a new era for social democracy in Turkey. Now is the time to focus on further modernisation.
We need to strengthen minorities’ and trade unions’ rights. We have to protect women’s rights and follow the principle of secularism. Full transparency and a civil dialogue between all social groups and minorities including the Kurds is essential.”
