In the declaration the Presidency congratulated the Socialist Party of Portugal on the historical and democratic agreement, which brings together the left-wing parties to support a PS Government in Parliament. The declaration shows that the PES member parties are in consensus about how a progressive government can allow Portugal to return to prosperity and growth after four years of austerity and daily struggle of citizens.
