Another speaker was Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu (Main Opposition Leader, President CHP Turkey), who underlined that; “Muslim regions have their own conditions and own difficulties, and without knowing this, we cannot provide solutions to the area. The first step must be to open ourselves. We must live up to the social democratic standards and fight for human rights, gender equality and freedom of media”.
Ezzaouia added: “The European Union needs to support these reforms. In Tunisia as in Europe, in our democratic transition as in the financial crisis, we can only succeed if we are together – and not only at a political level. We must help all citizens to find their way in this new word”.
