Samen voor ons Europa!
Op 6 juni gaat Nederland naar de stembus voor het Europees Parlement. De inzet van deze verkiezingen is helder: met de opkomst van radicale partijen in heel Europa is het tijd om de krachten te bundelen en pal te staan voor progressieve waarden in Europa.
Daarom organiseert de Party of European Socialists op 11 mei in Rotterdam het event ‘Samen voor ons Europa’.
In het Groot Handelsgebouw Rotterdam gaan we het gesprek aan over een gezamenlijke progressieve agenda. Om toe te werken naar een Europa dat sociaal, democratisch en duurzaam is. We organiseren sessies over belangrijke thema’s als de rechtsstaat, klimaatrechtvaardigheid en Europese veiligheid.
De belangrijkste sprekers van onze Europese conferentie zijn:
Nicolas Schmit, ”Spitzenkandidat” voor de ‘Party of European Socialists’ bij de Europese verkiezingen;
Frans Timmermans, Partijleider van GroenLinks-PvdA en voormalig uitvoerend Vice-President bij de Europese Commissie;
David Djaiz, hoogleraar aan Sciences Po Parijs;
Mariana Mazzucato, schrijfster, econome en hoogleraar aan het University College in Londen;
Leonie Doornbos, Nederlandse Ministerie van Defensie;
John Morijn, expert op het gebied van de rechtsstaat, fellow aan de Princeton University’s School of Public and International Relations;

We stand together for our Europe
On 6 June, Europe is goes to the polls for the European Parliament. The stakes for these elections are clear: with the rise of radical parties across Europe, it is time to join forces and stand up for progressive values in Europe.
That is why the Party of European Socialists is organising the event ‘Together for our Europe’ on 11 May in Rotterdam.
At the Groot Handelsgebouw in Rotterdam, we will discuss our common progressive agenda. To work towards a Europe that is social, democratic, and sustainable.
We will organise sessions on key themes such as the rule of law, climate justice and European security. Among the main speakers of our European conference are:
