PES President Sergei Stanishev said:
“We call for an immediate de-escalation between Israel and Hamas. The mutual rocket attacks must stop. We condemn all terrorist attacks on civilians. Israeli authorities have a special responsibility to act with restraint to avoid further escalation.”
The PES remains committed to the two-state solution, as a result of peaceful dialogue, in line with EU institutions.
