PES ministers welcomed the entering into force of the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument – Global Europe (NDICI-Global Europe) today as they gathered to coordinate ahead of today’s informal video conference of foreign ministers on development.

The hijacking of a civilian flight by Belarusian authorities is totally illegal and egregious, the Party of European Socialists said today as it called for the release of Raman Pratasevich and Sofia Sapega.

PES strongly rejects Russian sanctions on EU Parliament president and European officials
The Party of European Socialists strongly rejects the groundless sanctions on top EU and European officials taken by the Russian Federation today. These include measures against the President of the European Parliament David Sassoli, as well as Commission Vice-President for Values and Transparency Věra Jourová and six other EU officials.
