Martin Schulz joins PM Ponta for PSD Romania Election launch with 10,000 supporters
Today in Bucharest, Romania, PES Common Candidate Martin Schulz received the largest welcome so far of his European campaign. 10,000 supporters of the PSD joined Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta in welcoming Mr. Schulz.

On Thursday the 24th of April, Evangelos Venizelos, president of PASOK kicked off the ‘PES Youth Event in Athens: My Future is your Future’ accompanied by 200 young activists and party members in Athens. Venizelos stated the importance of these elections to change the direction of Greece and Europe “There is a choice, an important one. We need Elia to gain strength, we need a strong S&D group in the Parliament and we need Martin Schulz to become the new Commission President”.

This ‘equality declaration’ was the main topic of discussion as they met at the Hôtel De Broglie ahead of Schulz’s evening rendez-vous at the Cirque d’Hiver for the Parti Socialiste’s European election campaign launch.
Martin Schulz and European allies launch PS France European Election Campaign
At an exciting rally at the Cirque d’Hiver in Paris, Martin Schulz called the Parti Socialiste to action for the European elections in May. Schulz led an impressive list of speakers including new PS First Secretary Jean-Christophe Cambadélis, Socialist Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka, and lead Spanish PSOE candidate Elena Valenciano.
PES Presidency sets out battle plans for European Election Campaign
The PES Presidency met today in Brussels to discuss the coordination of its European election campaign. Member parties made clear that they will demonstrate in the coming six weeks the clear and fundamental differences between the Party of European Socialists (PES) member parties and the Conservative parties of the EPP group.
